Ellen Hamblett Robertson

Ellen Hamblett Robertson, age 89 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Robertson; parents, Jennings and Hallie Hamblett; brothers and sisters, Alice Preston, Delores Glisson, Nancy Meador, Jayhugh, Everette, Dempsey, Clydell, and Euell Hamblett. Surviving are her son, Sanford Robertson (Velma); daughter, Debra Robertson Pardue; grandchildren, Carol Hatjes (George), Lindsay Ellen Swain (Stephen), Megan Katherine Schaffer; great-grandchildren, Hunter Athey, Ryker Hetjes, Madison Ellen Swain, Ayden Jory Stanley; sisters, Marcella Peters (Ray), Gerry Gilley (Terry); brother, Alton Hamblett (Pat); many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
