Ellis Lee Hale

Ellis Lee Hale, age 81 of Hardy, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Margaret Hale; wife Barbara Hale; brothers Paul Hale and Ralph Hale; sisters Frances Gillespie, Mildred Abbott, Lucy Brizendine and Virginia (Gay)Robertson.  Surviving are his children Cynthia (Cyndi) Tourville (Lance), Wilbert Hale, Rodney (Rod) Hale (Mary), Ellis (Duke) Hale (Jennifer), Terry Hale (Sheryl) and Jerry Hale (Marcel); 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother Arthur Hale; sisters Mamie Austin, Rose Mary Dooley and Charlotte Brizendine; and other family members. Graveside services with Military Honors, will be conducted at Oylers Chapel Church Cemetery, 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 with Pastor Barry Witt officiating. His family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 665 South Main Street Rocky Mount, VA Rocky Mount.
