Elmer Cecil Johnson, Jr.

Elmer Cecil Johnson, Jr., age 64 of Bedford died Monday, May 25, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident. He was a loving and kind father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend. He loved traveling, boating, fishing, the ocean and seafood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Cecil Johnson, Sr. and Oakey Ann Austin Johnson, brothers, Paul K. Johnson, Douglas L. Johnson; sister, Betty Johnson; sisters-in-law, Lucy Johnson and Nancy Johnson. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Johnson III and Jody; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany McGuire and Jonathan; grandchildren, Autumn and Logan McGuire; mother of his children, Sue and her daughter Desiree’ Hamm; brothers, Ronald K. Johnson (Linda), Phillip Johnson (Edna); numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park at Holy Land USA (Bedford) 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount - Smith Mountain Lake.
