Elna Carter Young

Elna Carter Young age 72, of Ferrum passed away Saturday May 19, 2012 at Friendship Health Care Center, Roanoke. She was preceded in the death by her husband Leonard Carlton Young, Sr. Surviving are five sons and daughters-in-law Leonard C. Young, Jr. (Debbie), Chris Young (Ruby), Richard “Spike” Young (Suzette), Eddie Young (Vicky) and Robert Young (Tanya), seven grandchildren Jeremy, Jamie, Tressi, Nathaniel, Alyson, James, Jacob, 2 great-grandchildren; Landon and Ryland, three sisters; Hallie Ann Dickerson, Margie Hairfield and Marian Martinez, one brother Marvin Carter. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday May 21, 2012 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the Young Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
