Elsie H. Hodges

Elsie H. Hodges, 90 of Rocky Mount went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ben Hodges; son, Jerry Cleo Hodges; her parents, John and Julie Hodges; grandchild, Timmy Cleo Hodges. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, James Hodges; daughters, Brenda Arrington, Marie Hodges and Mary Jo Hodges (Terry); grandchildren, Patty Scott, Terry Davis, Joey Hodges, Jeff Hodges, Lisa Bousman and John Hodges; great-grandchildren, Miranda Bousman, Tasey Gilbert, Elizabeth Scott, Hunter Davis, Chelsa Hodges, Alyshia Hodges, Michael Hodges, Benjamin Minnix and Savanah Minnix; great- great grandchildren, Dale, Summer, Hayden, Adyson, Alysia and Layon; many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to her loving granddaughter Patty Scott and great - great granddaughter “Addybug” for taken care of their granny. She was a member of Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed sewing for family and friends she met along the way. Funeral services will be conducted at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
