Elsie T. Starkey, 90 of Wirtz, Va. was called to eternity on Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born November 8, 1927 in Wirtz, Va. to Sallie & Jubal Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband James Starkey and grandson, Pierce Alexander. Elsie believed in showing love to everyone she met. Left to cherish her memories; 5 sons; Larnell (Deneice) Starkey of Rocky Mount, Va., Walter (Judy) Starkey, Danny Starkey, Tim (Shewan) Starkey, Demone (Denita) Starkey of Wirtz, Va., one daughter; Dar (Rev. Gary) Alexander of Wirtz, Va. The family will received visitors Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at The Pigg River Community Building 2410 South Main St. Rocky Mount, Va. 24151 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Funeral Service will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Pigg River Community Building and A Private Family Memorial at 2:00 p.m. at The Chestnut Grove Baptist Church 50 Inglewood Road Wirtz, Va. 24184.
