Emery A. Mullins

Emery A. Mullins, age 79 of Rocky Mount passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, March 11, 2017 after battling cancer for several years. Emery was born on June 13, 1937, in Jolo WV to John and Chole Mullins both of Jolo. Emery was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Robert, Clell, Clyde, Claude; and sisters, Irene and Maxine. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Mullins; sons, Mark (Jeanette) and Paul (Sarah); and grandsons, Chris and Ben (Jessie). He is also survived by a brother, Tommy (Yvonne); and a sister, Geraldine (Bill); as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 with Pastors Randy Sawyers and Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 390 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Virginia. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
