Emily Mullins Jamison

Emily Mullins Jamison, age 42 of Henry passed away suddenly at home, Tuesday, June 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Kenneth Mullins; paternal grandparents, George Kenner and Geneva Mullins; maternal grandparents; J. Ryland and Eva Coleman, father-in-law Jim Jamison; brother-in-law, Lyle Kenneth Jamison. Emily graduated from Franklin County High School, Patrick Henry Community College and Ferrum College. She was a beloved teacher at Fieldale- Collinsville Middle School. Together with her husband, she was active in ministry at Henry Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Edward Jamison; daughter, Taylor Elizabeth Jamison; son, Hayden Lyle Jamison; sister and brother-in-law Melissa "Missy" and Steven "Zero" Prillaman; mother, Annette Coleman Mullins; mother-in-law, Judy Jamison, nephews, Kenner Burke Prillaman, Kasey Joel Prillaman, Edward Jamison and William Jamison; niece, Mary Kate Jamison; great niece and nephews Kymberly Leigh Cundiff, Henry Lyle Cundiff and Carter Frank Cundiff, In-laws, Darrell Craig Jamison and Sara Jamison, many aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long and special friends, more than can be mentioned. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 with Rev. Jon Haskew and Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery at Henry. Her family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount and other times at the family home, 7321 Henry Rd., Henry, VA 24102.
