Emily Patterson Mccraw

Emily Patterson McCraw, 85 of Rocky Mount, VA died Tuesday, December 25, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edward and Mary Fralin Patterson; husband, William McCraw; sisters, Mary Ann Woody and Frances Nix; brother, Robert “Eddy” Patterson. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Dowdy; sister-in-law, Linda Patterson; and brother-in-law, Thomas Nix; also surviving are several nieces and nephews along with their families. Emily was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher from the Franklin County Public Schools. She taught for 34 years. Also, she was a member of the Franklin County Retired Teachers Association and Alpha Delta Kappa Upsilon Sorority. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 with Dr. Bob Greene officiating. Interment will follow at the Patterson Family Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
