Emmaline Cox Sigmon, age 83 of Callaway was born August 2, 1933 in Roanoke Co. Virginia and went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Rakes. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Bobby Ray Sigmon; daughter, Libby Wimmer (Vernon); daughter, Donna Hodges (Jerry); son, Mike Sigmon (Marie); 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grand-children. She is also survived by sister, Agnes Sexton; brother-in-law, Larry Sigmon (Linda); sisters-in-law, Irene Sigmon and Shelby Cox; special aunt, Thelma Cox; numerous nieces and nephews. She co-founded Heavenly Manna Food Bank and worked there for almost 15 years giving it up for health reasons. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Angie Weddle, 2300 McNeil Mill Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Liz Lazenby and Rev Larry Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church cemetery. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
