Emmett Newton Brubaker, age 95 of Callaway formerly of Lapel, Indiana, died Saturday, July 12, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Fletcher and Nannie Holland Boone Brubaker; wife, Florence Mae Sides Brubaker; two daughters, Lois Elaine and Rebecca Jane Brubaker; brothers and sisters, Harry, Jake, Paul, and Cephas Brubaker, Margaret Huffman; and an infant brother.
Mr. Brubaker is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Bertha Mae Brubaker, Callaway, Maurice and Ruth Brubaker, Lebanon, Ohio, Joe and Lois Brubaker, Ferrum; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie (Eloise) Brubaker, Indiana, Robert (Carol) Brubaker, Ohio; sisters, Frances (Ernest) Wolf, Roanoke, Lucy Reed, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Mountain View Old German Baptist Brethren Church 9 a.m. Monday with the Home Brethren officiating.
His family will be receiving friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Visitation will be held in Pendleton, Indiana on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Lahm Funeral Home. Services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Beech Grove Old German Baptist Brethren Church with interment to follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
The family asks that flowers be omitted.
