Ernest Eugene Ferguson

Ernest Eugene “Gene” Ferguson, age 79 of Glade Hill passed away Friday, April 17, 2026. He was born December 9, 1946 and was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Mary Ferguson; five brothers, Albert, Oscar, Edward, Julian and William (Bill); and two sisters, Mabel Payne and Christine Goodbar. Gene had many friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to mow the grass. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Betty; son, Jason and Stephanie; granddaughter, Jasalyn; brother, Nelson Ferguson; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Pickeral, Carol David, Jackie Ferguson; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Lee David and Jerry Goodbar. The family would like to thank everyone for the calls, visits and food. Also, a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care. Memorial services will be held at Christian Fellowship Church 11:00 a.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026 with Pastor Mike Finley officiating. A lunch will follow the service.
