Ernest Coy Parks

Ernest Coy “Pops” Parks, age 88 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday, August 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda Parks. Surviving are three sons, Michael Parks and wife Teresa of Rocky Mount, Jack Parks and wife Rhonda of Ferrum, Kevin Parks and Becky of Ferrum; one daughter, Michele Hairston and husband, Marvin of Ferrum; two grandsons, Jerry Parks and fiancé Michelle Bandy of Hardy and Casey Hodges of Ferrum; two granddaughters, Jessica Harlow of Eagle Rock and Heather Hodges of Ferrum; great-grandsons, Christopher and Johnathan Parks of Burnt Chimney. Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount First Church of the Brethren 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
