Lola "Estelle" Siler Guilliams of Callaway, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born on March 25, 1945 to the late James William Siler and Laura Evans Siler of Troutville, Virginia. She was part of a fun family of three brothers and six sisters. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a son-in-law, Michael Haynes and a sister, Darlene Meador. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Guilliams; children, Betsy Haynes (friend Danny Chittum) Boones Mill, Paige (Duane) Saufley Callaway, grandchildren, Bailey Saufley, Lola Saufley, brothers and sisters Bruce (June) Siler, Phyllis Chisom, Mary Gallimore, Jeanette (Bob) Kemble, Dewey (Jackie) Siler, James (Bill) and Patricia Siler, Sara Griffith, Betty Kidd; special friends, Lynda Messenger, Janet Bolling, Melanie Ingram, Robbie and Charlotte Saufley; in-laws Ella G. Hunley, Marshall and Janice Murray, Johnny and Judy Guilliams, Dewey and Jackie Siler and many nieces and nephews. Estelle became a Christian as a teenager at Bonsack Baptist Church, making life long friends with the teenagers in her youth group. She belonged to Piedmont Presbyterian Church for many years and then Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Estelle retired from BB&T bank after 27 years. Her favorite hobby was growing flowers. She could keep just about any plant alive and make it blossom. She also enjoyed painting in oil and acrylic in the "Grandma Moses" style. She loved traveling and traveled to 48 states, her greatest enjoyment in life was caring for her grandchildren Bailey and Lola Saufley. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 26, 2014 at Flora Funeral Service with Rev. Bobby Young officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
