Estelle Ingram Jones, age 89, passed away Saturday January 27, 2007 in Henry VA where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law Trudy and Jerry Cooper.
Estelle was born January 25, 1918 in Franklin County, one of four children born to Grover and Fannie Sue Ingram. Estelle was a faithful member of Republican Primitive Baptist Church in Ferrum. She had also been a beautician for many years and operated a beauty shop from her home.
Estelle was preceded in death by her husband of sixty six years Paul W. Jones; brothers Grady Ingram and Buford Ingram; and sisters-in-law Rena Ingram and Christine Ingram.
Survivors include a brother H.D. Ingram; sisters-in-law Marcella Ingram, and Grace Smith Ingram; daughter Trudy J. Cooper and husband Jerry; three step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nephew Gary Lee Ingram of High Point, NC; nieces Arlene Ingram of Henry and Brenda Sue Tatum of Roanoke; special cousin Betty Jane Ingram; and numerous great-nephews.
Her family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Republican Primitive Baptist Church c/o Ada Beeghly, 4935 Henry Rd., Henry, VA 24101 or to Henry Fire Department, 5241 Henry Rd., Henry, VA 24101.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Elder Junior Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Monday with her family receiving friends from 5-8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 S. Main St, Rocky Mount.
