Ethel Mullins Mason, age 86 of Ferrum died Friday, February 23, 2007.
She was born March 9, 1920 a daughter of the late George W. and Mattie Brown Mullins and was a life long member of Providence Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Jessie Mason; a son, Edward Mason; several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Wilson and Nancy Mason, Ferrum; her grandson, Jay Mason and wife Tina, Bassett; great-grandson Logan James Mason; brother and sister-in-law Clyde and Frances Mullins, Stokesdale, NC; sister Hattie Spencer, Bassett; her step grandchildren, JoAnn and Kenny Sawyer, Sue and Mark Jones, Rocky Mount, Bill and Tammy Cook, Price and Regina Cook, Ferrum; her step great-grandchildren, Tabitha Jones, Erica Cook and Brittney Cook; several niece and nephews; longtime special friends, The Altice Family.
Graveside services will be conducted from Providence Baptist Church Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Monday with Rev. Steve Tilley officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church, Providence Church Road, Henry, Va.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 – 7 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 S. Main Street, Rocky Mount.
