Eugene Blair Cook, Jr.

Eugene Blair Cook, Jr., age 57 of Rocky Mount, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. Blair was born December 18, 1965 in Rocky Mount, the son of the late Eugene B. Cook, Sr. and Judy Z. Bowyer. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lenwood S. and Betty B. Cook, Luther B. and Janie D. Zeigler; his beloved fur babies, Cody Bear and Janie. Surviving are his beloved wife, Juliane Cook; mother, Judy Z. Bowyer; sisters, Debra Earles (Tommy), Susan Hodges (Chad), and Sally Perdue (Jason); several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; longtime special friends, Burt and Denise Taylor. Blair worked as a Contractor for over 30 years and took great pride in his work. On his time off, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Blair enjoyed hunting and was also an avid golfer as he always looked forward to his golfing trips. He was loved by all that met him. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. His family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
