Eugene Sigmon, age 79 of Callaway died Sunday morning, July 1, 20l2 at his home surrounded by his family. He faithfully attended Woodlawn Baptist Church since 1976 where he was also a member. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany 1953-l955. Eugene enjoyed a lifetime of hunting and fishing. He retired from Martin Processing and Ronile then volunteered at Heavenly Manna Food Bank. He was born May l7, l933 a son of the late Flemon and Eula Martin Sigmon and was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife Joyce Sigmon, daughters and sons-in-law, Tammie and Dale Peters, Dana and Rick Thompson, Claire Ann and Ruben Rivera, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sandra Law, grandson and fiancé, Brad Mitchell and Kate, granddaughters, Dena Custer (Doug), Amy Peters, Erin Ferris, Maegan Law two great-granddaughters Caley and Chrissa, one sister, Maxine Sink, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Loretta Sigmon, Harold “Nicky” and Sue Sigmon, many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be conducted at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 11:00 A.M. Tuesday with Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
