Eurel C. Whitlow

Eurel C. Whitlow, 79 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, June 19, 2007.

He was born October 4, 1927 a son of the late Edgar and Annie Mayes Whitlow.

Mr. Whitlow was a kind loving man that loved music but playing the fiddle was music to his heart. He also loved to drive; the destination never was a factor as long as he was driving.

Eurel was loved by all that came into his path; his sense of humor will never be forgotten. Most of all he was a wonderful loving father and grandfather that will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, E. Bradley Whitlow.

Surviving are his daughters, Frankie Beeker, Karen Scott and Denise Kimbrough; his loving and devoted companion of many years, Hazel Shively and her family; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchilden; sister, Annie Moore; brothers, Bill, Charlie and Maynard Whitlow.

Eurel was devoted to his family and took great pride in his grandchildren who will always share a special place in his heart.

Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Friday. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at his home.
