Eva DeLancey Altice Boitnott, age 85 of Glade Hill died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at her home.
She was born April 6, 1922 a daughter of the late Hassie and Evie Maxey DeLancey. Mrs. Boitnott was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Alfred Altice; one brother; and three sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer Lewis Boitnott; sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Loretta Altice, Kenneth and Ann Altice, Jan Altice and Colleen Wheeler, Justin and Janet Altice, Martinsville; her stepchildren, Jesse and Catherine Hodges, David and Betty Lawrence, Dean and Becky Bolling; five grandchildren, Greg and Peggy Altice, Gary and Theresa Altice, Kristi Altice, Jay and Amanda Altice, Jordon Altice; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Sean Altice and Hannah Altice; sister, Clarice Waldron; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Spurgeon and Mildred Boitnott, Basil and Linda Boitnott.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County and her special caregivers Robin, Becky, Pat, April and Judy.
Funeral services will be conducted from Woodlawn Baptist Church 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2007 with Rev. Eddie Hawks and Rev. Earl Harrelson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 46 Woodlawn Drive, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2007 with the family receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
