Eva Webb Hoy, age 90 of Roanoke, formerly of Richmond and currently residing at Friends Home West in Greensboro, North Carolina died Tuesday, September 4, 2007.
She was born August 9, 1917 in Franklin County Virginia to the late William Robert and Ella Moran Webb.
Eva loved people and never met a stranger. Her greatest joy was in the company of her family. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George W. Hoy; one sister, Lizelle Prillaman; brothers, Cecil, George, Russell, Rufus, John Lewis, Wiley and Flemon Webb.
She is survived by her daughters, Kitty (Jerry) Williamson and Sharon (Bob) Spencer; 4grandchildren, Brad (Jane)Williamson; Beth (Sam) Clowney; Robby (Missy) Spencer; Bryan Spencer; 2 great-grandchildren; Katie and Alex Williamson; sisters and brother-in-law, Estelle Akers, Evelyn (Lee) Jamison, Frances Stover, and Betsy Guilliams.
Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Home, 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Beth Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.

Family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
