Evelyn Fuller Williams, age 91, of The Glebe at Daleville and formerly of Lexington, beloved wife, mom, mamma and great mamma, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010. Evelyn had resided in Lexington from 1955 until 2006, at which time, due to declining health, she and Tommie chose to become residents at The Glebe Retirement Community. She was born on July 3, 1919 in Bluefield, West Virginia, a daughter of the later Orby Lee Fuller and Alice Juanita Mahood Fuller. Evelyn was retired from the Internal Revenue Service. Also, she was retired as secretary to the Director of the Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington. Evelyn had formerly served as secretary for both the Melrose Baptist Church, Roanoke and the First Christian Church, Lynchburg. She was a member of the Lexington Woman’s Club and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). Evelyn was a Past Worthy Matron of Rockbridge Chapter #125, Order of the Eastern Star, Buena Vista. She was a faithful member of Manly Memorial Baptist Church, Lexington from 1955 until 2006 and then a loving member of Troutville Baptist Church, Troutville. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Fuller Duncan. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Tommie Walter Williams, Sr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Alice Juanita and Carter McCrowell, of Virginia Beach; two sons, Tommie W. Williams, Jr., of Roanoke and Michael M. Williams, Sr., of Rocky Mount; one brother and sister-in-law, George Beverly and Louise C. Fuller, of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, Monica Hilderbrand, of Virginia Beach; Sara Elizabeth Graziano, of Stuarts Draft; Alicia Leigh Yokoyama, of Portland, Oregon; Michael M. Williams, Jr. and Shannon Marie Reiter, both of Roanoke; Alison W. Litzenmayer, of Newport News and Jacob T. McCrowell, of Virginia Beach; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three nieces and one nephew. A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Troutville Baptist Church, Troutville with the Rev. Carol Johnston officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at the church. Private interment services will be conducted at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family request that memorial donations be made to either the American Heart Association, ATTN: Memorials and Tributes, P.O.
