Everette Kennard Altice, age 90 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was born May 27, 1935 a son of the late Ernest and Ada Hodges Altice. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kennard; sister, Margaret Altice; brother, J.T. Altice; brother-in-law, Bentley Larry Hodges.
Everette was retired from Lane Furniture Company where he had been employed since 1957. “Nip” as he was known, was always willing to help those in need. He could do plumbing, electrical work, carpentry work, painting, mechanical work and anything he set his mind to.
Surviving are his loving wife of 71 years, Arlene Altice; daughter, Cassandra; son, Greg (Catie); grandchildren, Lyndsey and Randall; great-grandchildren, Chase and Grace; sister-in-law, Patricia Johnson; brother-in-law, Daniel Johnson; many nieces and nephews many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by many, especially his family. The family wishes to thank all the hospice workers who were so faithful during his sickness and the workers at Red Oak Manor.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 with Pastor Eddie Hawks and Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
