Everline Nichols, age 90 of Glade Hill, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born May 31, 1924 to the late Robert L. & Rosie Whitlow Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Silas Nichols and his wife, Ruth and James Nichols and two infant siblings.
She is survived by three nieces and their husbands, Nancy N. & Allen Shoemaker, who were also her caregivers in her final years, Brenda N. & Jesse Espriella and Lisa N. & Greg Agee; three great-nieces, Heidi Nichols, Melissa Lawrence (Jeff) and Allison Bingeman (Pat); four great-great-nephews, whom she dearly loved, Evan Lawrence, Gabe Lawrence, Aaron Lawrence and Owen Bingeman; one foster sister, Virgie Ann Shough and several special cousins.
Everline was a special sister, aunt and friend to all. Although she never had a child of her own, she had a special love for all
children. She was a faithful Christian all her life and was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren for over 75 years.
Funeral services will be held at Fairview Church of the Brethren, 11:00 a.m. Friday with Pastor Jeff Wray officiating. Private family burial will take place at Story Creek Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour before service and other times at the home of Allen and Nancy Shoemaker.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to Glade Hill Rescue Squad.
