Fannie Beckner Jamison

Fannie Elsie (Beckner) Jamison, age 95 of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at her home in the loving care of her family. She was born February 26, 1923. Surviving are her husband of 75 years, Joel H. Jamison; children, William and Irene, Mary Jane, David and Mabel, Robert and Louise, Joann and Dean Wrightsman, Alice Metzger and Lynn (deceased), 16 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; in- laws, Alma Beckner, Annie Bowman, Fannie Brunk, Ellis and Rachel Jamison, Bertha May and Marvin Brubaker, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Sarah (Lavy) Beckner; brother, John Beckner; sisters, Mary Sarver, Susie Bowman, Bessie Rutrough, Clara Beckner and Goldie Beckner, and great-granddaughter, Nellie Rose Jamison. Funeral services will be conducted at Pigg River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Clearview Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 5-9 p.m. Sunday, 2-4 and 5-9 p.m. Monday all at Pigg River Church.
