Flora Bowles Altice

Flora Bowles Altice, age 88 of Wirtz died Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born October 27, 1937 a daughter of the late Morgan and Claudie Hall Bowles. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Bowles and Gordon Hodges; and sister, Elsie. Flora enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and tending to her flowers. Surviving are her husband, James Altice; son, John Altice; grandchildren, Lora, Landen and Jaxson; sisters, Peggy Overstreet and Mary Ann Wilcox; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Franklin Memorial Park 2 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 with Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Her family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Monday prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
