Frances H. Broce

Frances H. Broce, age 84 of Rocky Mount, VA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin O. and Madaline J. Hodges; and her sister, Elsie Young. Mrs. Broce was a longtime member of Fairview Church of the Brethren. She also loved planting flowers and spending time in nature. She is survived by her husband, James T. Broce; her children, Susan D. and Carl Farris, Sandra D. and Kevin Clements; her grandchildren, Robin Farris (Martha), and Dillon Clements; also two great-grandchildren; her sisters, Rebecca Preston (Alvah), Betty Hall, Billie Hodges, Helen Bennet (Jimmy), Patricia Law (Lewis), Doris Buckner (Fred); many beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Broce was retired from Dupont Corporation after many years of faithful service. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Jeff Wray officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fairview Church of the Brethren. The family respectfully requests no food. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
