Frances M. Perdue, age 83 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Howard D. Perdue; daughters and sons-in-law, Cris and Pat Brown of Brandon, Florida, James and Pam Hutchinson of Rocky Mount; grandsons and their wives, Tim and Paula Brown of Valrico, Florida, Shannon and Mary Beth Hutchinson of Roanoke, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Tristan Brown, Taylor Brown and Gray Hutchinson. She is also survived by brothers, Henry and Wayne Manning; sister, Sally Kate Davis; and special nephew, Dale Manning. Frances was an avid gardener and loved tending her flowers. She especially loved to cook for her family and spend time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren. She had a special love for all children. Funeral services will be conducted from Redwood United Methodist Church 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Bradley S. Dulaney officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Redwood United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Franklin County Rescue Squad.
