Frank Edward Adams, age 78 of Ferrum died Sunday, June 28, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Helen Ingram Adams; second wife, Mae Young Adams; parents, Mallie and Brooksie Pendleton Adams; brothers, Bernard and Cecil Adams; daughters, Sandra and Cynthia Adams; nephew, Mike Adams.
Mr. Adams was a retired truck driver with Blue Ridge Transfer and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Geneva Gillispie Adams; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Cardwell and husband John, Nola Mullins and husband Gene, Keeta Adams and fiancé Ron Foster; step-sons and wives, Ronnie Young and wife Debbie, Jimmy Young and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Sharon Ryder and husband Waylon, K.T. Quinn, J.D. Severt; sisters, Roberta Sword and husband Henry, Beatrice Cobbler and husband Claude; nephews, Allen Cobbler, David Sword and wife Karen, Randall Gillispie and wife Cindy, Roger Gillispie and wife Jackie; nieces, Donna Drewry and husband Dan, Janice Joyhart, Jeannie McVay, Judy DeHart and husband Mike, Pat Carter, Lisa McCaul and husband Mike, Regina Gillispie, Pat Adams; other great-nieces and nephews; two special family members, Toby Chaney and James Atkins.
Memorial services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 6 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Robert West officiating.
His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service, exclusive provider for Veterans & Family Memorial Care, Rocky Mount.
