Frank Lester Peters

Frank Lester Peters, age 86 of Ferrum went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He is survived by his lovely and committed wife of 64 years, Ileta Carter Peters; his children, Patty Sigmon (Mike), Brenda Handy, Lester Peters (Melinda-deceased), Sharlene Robinson (Greg); his grandchildren, Tracy Holley (Brad), Justin Sigmon (Rita), Heather Gray, Katherine Britton (David), Shannon Ramsey (Jeremy), Amy Heide (Kyle), Josh, Ben, Mark and Anne Peters; his great-grandchildren, Kolton and Tyler Holley, Will and Abby Gray, Brooklynn and Brystal Sigmon, Carter, Jackson and Baby Ramsey, and Jack Britton. He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Peters; and grandson, Jonathan Peters. He loved serving the Ferrum community, was dedicated to his loving wife and family and was a faithful member of Republican Church. Many will remember the hard working determination and fun-loving heart of gold that he had. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Saturday with Elder Junior Conner officiating. Interment will follow in the Carter-Young Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
