Franklin J. Kendrick

Franklin J. Kendrick, age 79 of Blairs, VA, died on Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was born in Danville, VA, on February 15, 1934, to the deceased Claude and Marian Adams Kendrick. He was also preceded in death by his brother, CT Kendrick, and sister, Betty Tate. He is survived by his daughters, Judy (David) Brown of Hillsdale, IN, and Lisa (Robert) Gearhart of Wirtz, VA; his grandchildren, Michelle (Joey) Pruitt, Kasey (Clayton) Reed, and Frankie Vincent; his great-grandchildren, Braelynn Pruitt, Alexander Reed, and Berkley Pruitt. He is also survived by special friend, Peggy Comer; three sisters, Viola Sparks, Billie Buckner, and Joyce Simpson; and former wife, Edith Spraker. Franklin was a member of Blairs Baptist Church and put his faith in Jesus Christ. He loved antique cars and his daughters (unsure which order). A private memorial service for the family will be conducted at Flora Funeral Service. Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 Highland Burial Park in Danville.
