Garland Lee Bennett

Garland Lee “Don” Bennett, age 70 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was a good man who enjoyed farming and working outdoors. He was born April 21, 1946 a son of the late Brady and Blanche Lynch Bennett and was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, J.T. and Iris Bennett. Surviving are his wife, Judy Smith Bennett; son, Donovan Hodges and girlfriend, Farah; grandson, Donovan Lee Hodges, Jr.; brother, Charles Bennett and wife Dorothy; sister, Gloria Bennett; special nieces and nephews, Jessica Hodges, Iris Tabor, Thomas Pagans, Michael Bennett and Stephanie Pagans; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Peggy Hodges. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hall Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
