Garland Wayne Chitwood

Garland Wayne Chitwood, age 71 of Bassett died Tuesday, February 12, 2013. He retired from E.I. DuPont and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Garland attended Oak Level Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Virginia Hicks Chitwood. Surviving are his wife, Dianne McCall Chitwood; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Lisa Chitwood, Jeff and Cindy Chitwood; grandchildren, Cayla, Brantley, Kelly and Kevin; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Glenda Chitwood. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
