Garland Douglas Nichols

Garland Douglas Nichols, age 76 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, September 7, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam T. and Bertha Sink Nichols. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Hamilton; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Terry Caldwell; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Tom Piepenhagen, Louise and Robert Altice; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted from Franklin Memorial Park 2 p.m. Wednesday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount – Smith Mountain Lake.
