Garnett Jane Woods

Garnett Jane Scott Woods, age 78 of Ferrum passed Tuesday, April 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilsie Odell Woods. Surviving are her daughter, Regina Cook and fiancé David Jones; her granddaughter, Erica Cook; sisters, Louise Wagner, Darlene Guilliams; brothers and sister-in-law, Kermit and Margaret Scott, Carl Scott, Danny and Judy Scott, Douglas Scott; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Ronald Holley, Janet and Paul Stanaland, Buren Woods, Ernest Woods, Jackie and Nancy Woods, Harold and Virginia Woods; her poodle companion, Tucker. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday with Chaplain Rick Poland and Pastor Bud Roth officiating. Interment will follow in St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
