The hills and valleys were his delight.

Throughout God’s boundless kingdom.

Since July 3, 2021 Gary had fought a long and hard battle against pneumonia, infections, lung failures and a long list of recurring setbacks. Tuesday morning in CRMH while surrounded by family, hospital staff and others his suffering ceased and he peacefully went home. His earthly body had totally worn out.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Anderson, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Left to cherish his life’s memories are his father, Allen Anderson, sister, Patricia Ross (Lee), daughter, Jamie Anderson, granddaughter, Alissa Lineberry, grandson, Ayden Lineberry, nieces, nephews, cousins, great uncle and longtime friend Carla Hodges.

Gary’s family states their sincere appreciation to all the family and friends throughout the community that prayed for Gary and us during this difficult time. A big thank you also goes to the staff at CRMH and especially to Doctor Robert C. Keeley who for well over a year went to extreme efforts day and/or night to restore Gary’s health.

Gary dearly loved the outside and all nature’s glory.

So we will for now just say, “Today

he’s gone fishing in the great beyond.”

A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
