Gary Wayne Dudley

Gary Wayne Dudley, age 80 of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was a son of the late Walter Bennett Dudley and Alpha Morris Dudley. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Wayne Dudley, Jr.; his daughter, Anne Tyree Dudley Russell; and a sister, Alta Dudley Bayne. Gary was a long time Dairy and Beef Cattle farmer and was employed by E.I. DuPont for a number of years, he was a loving husband, father, son, brother, father-in-law and friend, Gary is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Tyree Dudley; his former son-in-law, Alan Russell and wife Susan, all of Rocky Mount; his sister, Excie Dudley Morris of Martinsville; his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Vickie Dudley of Fries, Va.; a niece, Lori Dudley; a nephew, Kevin Dudley; and a niece-in-law and husband, Faye and Jack Strickler. His family will receive friends Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Bennett-Dudley Family Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of food and flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Gary to the Humane Society of Franklin County or Charity of Choice.
