Gary Burton Haislip

Gary Burton Haislip, 77 of Franklin County, VA passed away Monday, February 5, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Gregory Bowles, father Leon Haislip and brother, Wade Bowles. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Sheila Basham Haislip, daughters, Renee Murray (Tim), Dana Matherly (Baines), Lori Phillips (Greg), grandchildren, Josh (Maria) and Matt Murray, Melinda and Katie Matherly, Chalis and Chanlin Phillips, brothers, Lewis Bowles (Wanda), Ricky Haislip (Becky), sister, Betty Clingenpeel (Ronnie), numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was a certified dental technician for 50 years and in the profession for 61 years. Funeral services will be conducted at Forrest Hill Christian Church, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018. Interment will follow in the Haislip- Gregory Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Forrest Hill Church.
