Gay Shively Boyd

Gay Shively Boyd, age 91 of Ferrum died Saturday, April 26, 2008. She was born February 15, 1917 a daughter of the late William Henry and Sarah Lucinda Whorley Shively. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Leamon Boyd; a daughter, Pansy Lovelane Midkiff; son-in-law, Robert Edward Midkiff; grandson, Ronald Lee Boyd; brother, Frazier Shively; sisters, Annie Thompson and Eunice Shively. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Malindy Boyd; her grandchildren, Rance and Teresa Boyd, Regina Goodson; five great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her twin sister, Mae Brogan. The family would like to give a special thanks to Susan Haun and Darlene Love and the entire staff of Trinity Mission. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 with Pastor Garlin Strouth officiating. Interment will follow in the Boyd Family Cemetery.
