Geneva Tyree Teague

Geneva Tyree Teague, of Rocky Mount passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Charlie M. Tyree and Julia Turner Tyree. Geneva was a dedicated, supportive, long time member of Rocky Mount Christian Church, having served as secretary to the Board of Directors for thirty-three years. She was a member of the choir and C.W.F. She dearly loved her church and church family. Geneva was retired from Franklin Veneer and Lumber Company as payroll clerk and office assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Teague. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Ann and Gary Dudley; niece and husband, Faye and Jack Strickler; sister-in-law, Eva H. Tyree; special friends, Alvin, Virginia and Timothy Hall all of Rocky Mount. In addition, she is survived by special nephews-in-laws and wife, Billy and Frances McClintock of Greensboro, NC and J.V. Teague of Greeley Colorado. The family suggests in lieu of flowers and food, memorial donations may be made in memory of Geneva to Rocky Mount Christian Church, 120 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Memorial Park with Dr. James Dickerson officiating.
