George DeBruhl departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 22 at his home on Smith Mountain Lake, VA. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 67 years and his 5 children.
  
  
  George was born March 3, 1930 in Asheville, NC, the 6th of 9 children of Arthur and Janie DeBruhl. He leaves behind his wife, Geraldine Brown DeBruhl and a legacy of 5 children, Kaye (Dave) Daggett, Nancy (Nelson) Miller, Ted (Brenda) DeBruhl, David (Cindy) DeBruhl and Jan (Scott) Phillips, along with 15 grandchildren and 16 great-children. George began his career as a Master Electrician, but later was a entrepreneur in the automobile and real estate industries.
  
  
  He loved spending his time surrounded by his most precious gift, his family and sharing his love of old cars and people with his wide circle of friends.
  
  
  The celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5th at Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 110 Hilltop Drive, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
