George D. Floria, age 72, of Rocky Mount, went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 30, 2007.
George was born February 14, 1934 to the late Dan and Louise Brown Floria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Charlotte Ruth Floria; and one step daughter Angela Denise Little.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years Hazel “Sue” Floria; children Michael Wayne Floria, Donna J. Gantt and husband Danny, Danny A. Floria and wife Betty, Ricky L. Floria, Roger “Steve” Floria and wife Cynthia; step children Lisa R. Lambert, and Laura R. Furrow; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; former sisters-in-law Darlene Hughds, Ivy Howard, and Glenna Settle.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2:00 p.m. Friday with Rev. Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
His family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
