George Thomas Holloway

George Thomas Holloway, age 84 of Rocky Mount died Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Holloway; parents, John and Annie Holloway; and brothers, John Henry Holloway and William "Willie" Holloway. Surviving are his sons, Leonard T. Holloway (Wanda), George "Sammy" Holloway; grandchildren, Noah T. Holloway, Makayla Holloway, Melonie Rose Holloway; brother, Carrington Holloway (Carolyn); numerous nieces, nephews and beloved cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Wednesday with John Walke officiating under the direction of Jimmy Taylor. Interment will follow in Old Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o STEP, Inc, 200 Dent Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
