George MacAfee Frye II (Max), age 40 of Redwood passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glen Bowling and Larmie and Fred Ingram; and his paternal grandfather, S.L. Frye. He is survived by a loving and caring family, his parents, George and Linda Frye; his beloved and precious daughter, Halee Madison Frye; his paternal grandmother, Ruby Frye; and his uncle, Jimmy Frye of Redwood; his aunts, Barbara Arrington (Lee) of Rocky Mount, Carol Woods (Billy) of Ferrum, Maxine Drewry of Roanoke and friend Buddy Guilliams of Rocky Mount; Donna Quinn of Roanoke and Mitzi Austin (Jim) of Vinton; his first cousins, Shelia and Mark Jacoby, Mark Arrington and friend Bobbi Jean Simmers, Debbie and Mike Elkins, James Drewry, Philip Drewry, Sarah and Brent Hill; very special cousin, Stephanie (Tuffy) and Shannon Burton, Nikki and A.J. Vassalo. Memorial services will be conducted from Franklin Heights Baptist Church 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rescue Mission, 410 4th Street, SE, Roanoke, Virginia 24013 in Max’s memory. His family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. “We love you Max and we will miss you everyday for the rest of our lives.”
