George "Clinton" Smith

George “Clinton” Smith, age 73 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dannie Hodges Smith; brothers, Calvin, Terry and Ricky Smith. He is survived by his children, Dina Davis, Jody Smith (Hiedi) and Steven Smith (Carrie); grandchildren, Tabitha and Cody Davis, Tyler and Ethan Smith, Anna Smith and Cameron Ingle; sister, Mary Lou Denis (Armand); brother, Randy Smith; aunts, Corena Harrison and Lucille Brown; special niece Martha Holloway; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Fork Church of the Brethren, 11 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
