Georgia Carol Hodges, age 68 of Rocky Mount, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 18, 2008.
She was born January 7, 1940 a daughter of the late Howard and Queenell Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter Campbell; sister, Geraldine Anne Campbell; special niece, Joanna Michelle Hodges.
She was the owner and operator of Magic Mirror, member of Doe Run Christian Church and member of the Rocky Mount Lions Club. She also enjoyed traveling.
Mrs. Hodges is survived by her husband of 45 years, Fred Hodges; one son and daughter-in-law, Freddy and Lynn Hodges; one daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Bill Sink; four grandchildren, Ryan and Dylan Hodges of Rocky Mount, Melissa and Eric Kennedy of Roanoke; great-grandchild, Todd Kennedy of Roanoke; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Vern Campbell of Glade Hill; very special brothers, Earl Campbell of the home, Ronnie and Pam Campbell of Hardy; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Harold Morris, Sue and Winford Hodges all of Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews; special friends and Magic Mirror, Debra Dillon, Arlene Dudley, Janet Sue Connor, Betty Perdue, Niece Jones, Debbie Inman, and Patsy Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. J. Cecil Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Franklin County Rescue Squad.
