Gertrude Weaver Arrington, age 78 of Rocky Mount died Wednesday afternoon, February 2, 2005.
She was born August 12, 1926,
a daughter of the late DeMoss and Ida Hodges Weaver and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Arrington, Jr.; brothers, Hugh, Willie and Dewey Weaver and sister Lucille Cooper.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn and Bill Woolsey, Wanda Arrington and Donnie Scott; two grandchildren, Tonya Stastny and Timothy Woolsey; three great—grandchildren; brother, S. D. “Jake” Weaver and wife Evelyn; sisters—in—law, Ruby Weaver and Erma Weaver; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 P.M. Saturday with Rev. Dewey Weaver and Rev. Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Ridge Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on hour prior to services on Saturday. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, S. Main Street, Rocky Mount.
