Gladys Brubaker Ashworth

Gladys Ashworth, age 95 of Rocky Mount departed her earthly home Tuesday, January 31, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Denton I. Ashworth; her parents, Robert and Grace Brubaker; her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Myrtle Brubaker. She is survived by her loving son, Sidney D. Ashworth and wife Amelia L. Ashworth; her grandsons, Matthew and Bradley Ashworth; granddaughter, Caitlin Scott; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Spence. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. We want to especially thank all the caregivers, Carilion Hospice, wonderful workers and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at Antioch Church of the Brethren, 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2017. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Antioch Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
