Gladys Norene Guthrie

Gladys Norene Guthrie, 86, of Snow Creek, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otey and Alberta Robertson; her sister, Margaret Lawson; and brother, James Robertson. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Charlie Thomas Guthrie; her brother, Taylor (Mayree) Robertson; sister-in-law, Pat Robertson; her two daughters, Brenda Harris and Kathy (Melvin) Orr; grandchildren, Sheila Mattingly, Benjamin Harris, Joseph (Ashley) Harris, Joshua Harris, Jeffrey Orr, Adam (Rachel) Orr, Richard Orr, Miranda Keatts, Jordan (Elissa) Orr; 23 great-grandchildren ranging in age from 18 to a few months old with 1 more due any day now; one great-great-grandchild; and many more nieces, nephews, and many more family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
