Gladys Marie Hodges

Gladys Marie Hodges, age 73 of Rocky Mount went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. She was surrounded by her family and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband, John William Hodges; her parents, Vern Hodges and Ruby Campbell (Ray); brothers, Junior and Wayne Hodges; sister, Deborah Powell. Gladys is survived by her children, Carolyn Brooks (Jeff), Bonnie Wood, Pat, David, Barry and Ricky (Amber) Hodges; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Pagans; one brother, Terry Hodges (Mary Jo); and many special nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to send special thanks to Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital and the many family and friends for all their special help in their time of need. Funeral services will be conducted from Henry Fork Church of the Brethren 2 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Ronald Coleman and Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in the Hodges-Lynch Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
